When do I get my insurance discount?

After you provide SimpliSafe with your information and confirm your order, SimpliSafe will ship your equipment to you. When the equipment ships, Selective will apply a discount to your homeowners insurance policy.

For policyholders who paid their premium in full, you’ll receive your discount as a refund.
For policyholders who pay in installments, your account will be credited in the amount of the discount.

Is the SimpliSafe equipment package really $0?

Yes, your SimpliSafe home security equipment is free. After two months of complimentary professional monitoring, a monthly fee starting at $17.99** will be required to maintain your homeowners policy discount. There is no contract, so you can cancel any time. Must maintain professional monitoring service to keep policy discount.

Failure to activate SimpliSafe professional monitoring services before the lapse of the sixty (60) day grace period or deploy another monitored home security system will result in termination of future premium discounts.
